A bomb disposal unit was seen outside a High Wycombe address this evening.
The unit was spotted outside a property in Geralds Road where a World War Two hand grenade had reportedly been discovered.
Neighbours took to social media to say that the grenade had been destroyed, and reported hearing “loud bangs”.
One neighbour said: “I have never heard anything so loud…” while another commented: “It was a WW2 hand grenade, cannot believe how loud it was.”
Thames Valley Police has been contacted for more information.
