A teen was rushed to hospital after he jumped from a bridge into shallow water in Cookham on Friday evening.

South Central Ambulance confirmed it treated a 14-year-old boy who was complaining of neck and back pain at around 7.20pm after he jumped from the bridge on Cookham Moor.

The teen was rescued from the water by onlookers, according to eyewitnesses, and he was initially treated on the embankment by paramedics before he was taken to Wexham Park Hospital.

The emergency services were assisted by firefighters from Bucks and Berkshire fire and rescue services.
