A 48-year-old man has been put behind bars for three years for a spate of crimes in Stokenchurch and High Wycombe.
Kevin McCormick of Bartholomew Tipping Way, Stokenchurch, broke into a Suzuki Grand Vitara, parked at Kerrydale cricket ground between April 20 and 21 this year, but did not steal it.
Between April 21 and 22 he broke into a Vauxhall Corsa parked in the George Street car park in High Wycombe, and stole loose change.
On May 11, McCormick forced open a door at a property in Bowling Green, Stokenchurch, and stole a laptop and on May 12, he broke the window of a hair salon in Church Street, Stokenchurch, and stole a tip box containing cash.
He was found guilty of two burglary offences at Aylesbury Crown Court on July 6 following a one-day trial and an earlier guilty plea of attempted theft of a vehicle and a theft from a vehicle.
Investigating officer, Detective Constable Howard Wynne, said: “This was a series of thefts carried out by McCormick on neighbours living in the same village as him.
“He caused a lot of upset and disruption for what was basically petty crime and I am pleased for the victims that he is now behind bars.”
