It was double trouble in North Dean on Saturday as some of the town’s youngest twins and their families got together for a summer party.
Rain did not dampen spirits at the High Wycombe Twin Club’s picnic party as more than 15 families joined together at North Dean Village Hall for food, games and face painting.
Twins ranging from around two months to four-years-old attended the party, which is organised to socialise the families of twins and multiples.
Chairman of the club, Jemimah Harvey, said: “We try to hold a family event three times a year – we hold and Easter event, summer picnic and Christmas party.
“We have Twin Club meetings every two weeks but I think the dads feel left out, so we like to get the whole family together.
“Bringing up twins is so different to just bringing up one child. My twins were my first children and you go from having nothing to having two babies and you have no idea what you are doing - so it is good to chat, get together and get advice from other mums.”
The High Wycombe Twin Club meets on the first and third Wednesday of each month, offering support to parents of twins or multiples.
