A third teenager has been arrested after a taxi driver was sprayed in the eyes with an “unknown substance” in High Wycombe at the weekend.
The taxi driver, a 43-year-old man, is in hospital in a serious but stable condition following the incident in George Street at around 1am on Sunday.
Two 15-year-old boys from High Wycombe were arrested on suspicion of GBH with intent and released under investigation.
A 16-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of GBH with intent yesterday (Wednesday) afternoon. He was in police custody but has now been released under investigation.
On the night of the incident, the taxi driver dropped off three customers in George Street, who left without paying.
The driver then followed them and they paid him.
But one of the customers then sprayed the substance in the victim’s eyes and fled the scene in an unknown direction.
He was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
