A 19-year-old man has been left with “serious” head injuries after he was assaulted with what are believed to be metal poles and bats in High Wycombe on Tuesday night.
Police are appealing for witnesses following the incident in Totteridge Road, near to the junction with Queen Street, at around 11.50pm on August 8.
The victim was assaulted by a group of males and was then driven in a dark coloured vehicle to Stoke Mandeville Hospital where he currently remains, although his injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
There is currently no description of the attackers and no arrests have been made.
Detective sergeant Michael Anderson from High Wycombe police station said: “We are appealing to anyone who witnessed the disorder or saw the victim being driven away, in order to assist with the investigation. I would also like to speak to the occupants of the dark-coloured vehicle.
"Extensive enquiries are now ongoing to establish the exact circumstances and identify those responsible. If you have any information relating to the incident, please call Thames Valley Police on 101, quoting reference 43170235354."
