Jewellery and electrical items were stolen during a burglary in High Wycombe last week.

Thames Valley Police released an appeal for witnesses today after two properties were broken into in Wheeler End between 10.15am and 5.30pm on Tuesday, August 8.

Burglars broke into both properties through the rear door and stole gold and silver jewellery and electrical goods.

Case investigator, Hilary Layton, based at High Wycombe police station, said: “We are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident or seen any suspicious activity around the time of the incident, to contact the Thames Valley Police enquiry centre on 101."

Police have urged residents to install a burglar alarm with a visible alarm box, store high value items in a hidden safe and to keep items that could be used to break into the property stored away.
