Residents across south Bucks have been invited to have their say on new county council guidelines outlining how new housing developments should be connected to public transport.
New housing estates and business parks should be well connected to transport, according to Bucks County Council - which has drawn up new guidelines to enable developers to achieve this.
The policies aim ensure new housing estates encourage cycling, walking and use of public transport and provide the right number of parking space, amongst other objectives.
Deputy leader and cabinet member for transport at BCC, Mark Shaw, said: “We know growth is happening in Buckinghamshire and it's important that we help this growth to happen in the right way.
"These guidelines are signposts to make it easier for developers to provide well-connected housing estates and business parks that meet their own transport needs, are healthy, safe and sustainable."
Residents, businesses and developers can have their say on the public consultation and view the policies at http://ow.ly/ysLp30epKqg until Friday, September 22.
