High Wycombe dignitaries enjoyed a trip to Kelkheim in Germany as part of a regular programme of events organised by the High Wycombe Town Twinning Association.
Mayor Brian Pearce and Mayoress Helen Shingleton and committee chairman Tony Green were among a group to visit High Wycombe's twin town between September 8 and 10.
The group enjoyed a packed weekend of events, including a guided tour of medieval Kronberg and its 13th century castle, as well as a visit to Mainz, where they took part in a tour of the Gutenberg museum.
The Mayor of Kelkheim also exchanged gifts with Cllr Pearce at a dinner party, before they explored a jazz festival in Höchst Old Town, Frankfurt, and the Kelkheim museum.
Every second year a group from High Wycombe visit Kelkheim for a weekend - paying their own transport costs - and stay at the homes of families in Kelkheim.
In the alternate years, a group from Kelheim visits High Wycombe, staying with members of the town twinning association.
