Wycombe Wanderers will take “appropriate action” against fans who took part in anti-social behaviour after Saturday’s match at Colchester United.

An investigation is underway after a pyrotechnic device was let off in the away end after the final whistle and a number of fans acted in an “inappropriate manner” near the stadium.

A statement posted on the club's website says that the behaviour is "likely to lead to a compulsory police presence" when the two sides meet again, this time at Adams Park in January - costing Wanderers thousands of pounds.

Any witnesses are being encouraged to come forward with information by contacting stadium manager Gordon Reilly on 01494 455747 or gordon.reilly@wwfc.com.
