A teenager from High Wycombe has been arrested in connection with a car robbery.

It comes after a man in his twenties was injured after he fell off the bonnet of his car as he tried to stop it from being stolen in High Wycombe.

The victim took an unknown man out for a test drive from Berkeley Road in his silver Mercedes Benz E250 CDI shortly before 6pm on September 13.

The car then travelled around High Wycombe and, and when it returned to Berkeley Road, both men got out of the vehicle.

The victim was then attacked by the unknown man, who then took the car.

As the victim tried to stop his car from being stolen, he ended up on the bonnet and was carried along the A40 for a short while.

He then fell off the car and the unknown man drove off. The car was seen travelling along the A40 towards Beaconsfield, until the junction with Watery Lane in Wooburn Green.

The victim sustained bruising to his face and scratches.

An 18-year-old man from High Wycombe was arrested on Tuesday (September 26) on suspicion of robbery, police confirmed today (Sunday).

He has been released under investigation.
