The Tron pub, located opposite the Tron Kirk on Hunter Square, reopened on Thursday, September 21 following an extensive refurbishment, giving the central Edinburgh pub an exciting new look.

Renowned as a hub for tourists, students and locals, the new look Tron offers an exciting new food menu for visitors to enjoy in an easy-going tavern, with a relaxed atmosphere. Guests can now tuck into freshly made stone-baked pizzas, 21-day aged steaks, mouth-watering ‘low and slow’ meat and rib options, as well as mix & match tapas including drunken mushrooms, pulled brisket croquettes and buttermilk boneless chicken pieces.

Partnering the new food menu, guests to the Tron will also be greeted with a thirst quenching and extensive drinks menu, which boasts a wide selection of local craft beers, ales and ciders including Stewart’s Holyrood Pale Ale and Innis & Gunn lager. Visitors will be able to enjoy the new drinks offering whilst taking in traditional pub entertainment, such as live sport plus regular quiz, comedy and music nights.

Speaking about the refurbishment, general manager at the Tron, Adam Choat, said: “It’s been fantastic seeing the pub come together over the last couple of weeks and we can’t wait to welcome everyone who comes to pay us a visit.

"The team and I are very excited to see our guest’s reactions over the coming days."
