SIX pygmy goats have been given a new home at a farm which provides holidays for terminally ill and disabled children.

Thanks to a donation from a group of business women, the Children's Adventure Farm Trust (CAFT) near Lymm will also be able to build a house for the animals.

The generous network has organised for two reindeer to visit children at the charity's Christmas parties.

More than £6,000 was raised for CAFT by the 20/20 Network, which gives half of its monthly membership payments to the trust.

And members went along to the farm's family fun day to see how the new arrivals were settling in.

Catherine Sandland, chair of the group, said: “We were delighted to visit CAFT to see how how much joy the pygmy goats bring to the children.

“Our networking group is not-for-profit which enables us, as women running our own businesses, to give something back to the communities in which we work and we all feel that is incredibly important."

The network's next event takes place at the Mercure Altrincham Bowden Hotel on October 11 from 11am to 2.30pm.
