A major road was closed with the emergency services on the scene of a motorbike crash.
The southbound A404 carriageway between Handy Cross (M40 junction 4) and the Marlow slip road was closed, but has since reopened.
The authorities have not yet confirmed more details of the incident, but a motorbike is understood to be involved according to traffic links.
The road closure caused traffic chaos throughout High Wycombe, with long delays reported in Handy Cross, Marlow Hill, London Road and Cressex.
There was also queuing traffic on an exit slip road near the crash and on the opposite carriageway with people slowing down to look at the accident.
At 7.21am Thames Valley Police’s roads policing unit tweeted to say there were on their way to the scene.
