TEACHERS and pupils at Sacred Heart Primary School were delighted after their Quality Mark was renewed by inspectors.
The award celebrates schools that show a commitment to improving maths and English skills.
To make the grade, staff must prove that their efforts have a positive impact on children's results.
The Selby Street school was praised by visitors for its colourful wall displays, which show off students' reading and writing skills.
And teachers were praised for using Facebook and Twitter to share stories from the school with parents.
The visitors noted the increase in good grades for English and maths among key stage one classes.
