Two lanes are closed on the M40 this morning after a car was involved in a crash.

Two lanes are currently shut on the northbound carriageway at junction 4 (Handy Cross roundabout) just before the entry slip road.

All emergency services are on the scene. Firefighters were called at 10.49am and crews from High Wycombe, Marlow and Beaconsfield used hydraulic equipment to release a man and a woman from the vehicle.

The main carriageway was closed, with traffic diverting using the exit and entry slip road to divert but lane three (of three) was re-opened at 12.10pm.

The motorway crash follows an accident involving a motorbike on the A404 this morning, which caused delays across High Wycombe during rush hour.

More information as we get it.
