TEACHERS are invited to sign their classes up for free drama workshops.

Liverpool Theatre School is set to go in to schools and colleges to deliver lessons in acting and musical theatre.

Pupils can learns the basics and get the chance to quiz experts from the stage school.

Maxine Ellis, principal at Liverpool Theatre School, said: “We are working with schools and sixth form colleges to offer two separate workshops, one in musical theatre and one in acting.

"Both offer a great introduction to anyone with an interest in pursuing a future in either of these fields.

"During the fun and interactive sessions, pupils can pick up tips and advice on how to turn their passion for the stage into a career.

"There are so many talented young people who could become successful performers with the right level of training and support.

"It can be a tough industry to break but more than 90 per cent of our students go on to achieve success in musical theatre or progress to higher education."

Graduates of the school have appeared in a number of West End shows and include former Birchwood High student Oliver Ormson, who has starred in Cinderella, The Book of Mormon, Westside Story and is currently touring with The Addams Family.
