ACADEMICS and trade unionists will be amongst the people who appear at an Oxford City Council meeting today.
The council's Oxford Living Wage group is investigating how it can encourage employers to ensure it can be paid more widely. It is currently £9.26 an hour.
Loughborough University's Matt Padley, social researcher Mark Fransham, Oxford Bus Company's finance and commercial director Luke Marion and Usdaw's (Union of Shop, Distributive and Allied Workers) Sue Merrell will be at the meeting at Oxford Town Hall, which will be held from 2pm.
