55-year-old man found dead inside house
A 55-YEAR-old man was found dead inside a house on St Mary's Road in Penketh on Saturday.
Emergency services were called to the scene at around 10.10am and officers confirmed they found a body inside the property.
Firefighters and engineers from Cadent Gas were also called as a precaution after reports that there was a smell of gas in the area.
A spokesman for Cadent confirmed that there is no risk to residents from a gas leak.
The death is not being treated as suspicious and a file is being prepared for the coroner.
