Wandsworth Council people who may be thinking about adoption to consider bringing two or more siblings into their home.

The theme of National Adoption Week (October 16 to October 22) is #SupportAdoption, and aims to address misconceptions, share stores and encourage people to open their homes.

The council is said to work with other local authorities and agencies to find children suitable homes for them, though almost half of them are part of a sibling group.

These children are said to be mostly a pair of siblings.

Carol, who adopted a brother and sister aged four and six with partner Matt, said: “They definitely keep us busy, but we would not want it any other way.

“We just love being a family.”
