Battersea Power Station, said to be one of Britain’s most iconic landmarks, has been recreated – using toast.
The Grade II* listed building was one of eight ‘Toast of Britain’ sculptures designed by appliance manufacturers Tefal to celebrate British designs.
So far, Italian pizza restaurant Mother, from Copenhagen in Denmark, alongside No 29 Power Station West pub in Circus Village have opened their doors in the development and images by The London Helicopter have revealed the works going on in Battersea Embankment.
In addition, a new section of the Thames Path has been opened for the first time in 120 years last week (October 12).
Other 'Toast of Britain' designs include:
- Stonehenge in Salisbury
- Clifton Suspension Bridge in Bristol
- Wells Cathedral in Wells
- Blackpool Tower in Blackpool
- Cowny Castle in Wales
- Glennfinan Viaduct in Scotland
