Former Apprentice candidate turned business consultant Aleksandra King, from Bucks, looks back on this week’s episode, casting her eye over the leading protagonists.

This week’s episode of The Apprentice is all about robots - both branding and selling.

Michaela moves to the boys’ team and is made project manager by Lord Sugar.

The energy in the boys’ team looks good and it’s as if a breath of fresh air is blown into the team.

The atmosphere in the girls’ team is very different.

Although Jade looks strong as a project manager, as does Sarah, the sub team leader, the tension is monumental.

The girls are arguing to the point where it really starts to affect the task.

I remember those feelings all too well.

Tensions run very high and the girls pitch is ruined.

However, the luck runs out as in the end the boys land up in the boardroom.

Michaela keeps her cool well as does her sub team leader, Harrison.

Harrison accuses barrister Elliott of ‘sitting on the fence’ and this is indeed what brings Elliott down in the end. Lord Sugar accuses Elliott of ‘smooth talking’ and ‘not enough action’.

This might be true. I always worked hard and when I fought well in the boardroom, I had the hard work behind me to see me through.

In this case however, it seems there was a bit too much talk and too little action although I also sense a personality clash. As Elliott walks out of the boardroom, the search for the next candidate continues.

On exiting the show, Elliott added that he was ‘disappointed’ to leave in week three and that he ‘didn’t enter to go out at this point’ and that that he would have liked to be project manager.

“I’m a good salesman and a natural born leader.” he stated. “I wouldn’t have dithered. I call it as it is.”
