A gig is set to rock Bourne End Community Centre this weekend in aid of charity in the town.

The Echo and The Stormflies - two well-known local bands - are joining together to perform a set in aid of Keep Bourne End Green on Saturday, November 11.

The Keep Bourne End Green campaign group was set up by residents who are concerned about plans to build hundreds of news homes in the village as part of the local plan.

Steve Haywood, of The Echo, said they are keen to get involved and support local causes after a successful event in aid of Great Marlow School last year.

He said: “Our event last year went really well and we wanted to do something similar again. We like linking up with local charities and with Keep Bourne End Green, we want to raise awareness and funds for their campaign.

“It is all about having a little bit of while while raising money. It is going to be a really good night and ticket sales are flying.”

Tickets are £10 each and the show starts at 7pm at the community centre in Wakeman Road.
