TV star Pam St Clement is set to open a two-day Christmas market this weekend to raise money for charity.

Hearing Dogs for Deaf People will deck the halls at their Saunderton training centre in Wycombe Road on Saturday and Sunday, and open their doors to Christmas shoppers and dog-lovers for two days of festive fun on Saturday and Sunday.

Best known for playing Pat Butcher on EastEnders, Pam will open the market on Saturday and will spend time meeting guests and four-legged friends.

Melanie Preskett, national events manager for Hearing Dogs, said: “We are ready to kick-start the Christmas season with the return of our much-loved Christmas Market at our Hearing Dogs headquarters.

“We will have plenty of stalls providing beautiful hand-crafted gifts and stocking fillers to tick off your shopping lists as well as a special visit from Father Christmas who will be in his grotto to give presents with the help of his special elves and rein-dogs.

“And, if that's not enough, everyone will receive a complimentary mince pie and warm mulled punch.

“So dust off your Christmas jumpers and join us for a magical weekend.”

The market will raise vital funds so that more deaf people can be partnered with a life-changing hearing dog.

Tickets will be available on the day costing £5 for adults and £3 for concessions. Under-16s go free.
