Two people were given oxygen following a kitchen fire at a home in Chalfont St Peter yesterday (Tuesday) evening.

Crews from Gerrards Cross and Beaconsfield were called out to Ashlea Road at 6.09pm, where they gave oxygen to a man and woman who were suffering from the effects of breathing in smoke.

Bucks Fire confirmed the kitchen was damaged by fire and smoke, and the ground and first floors were damaged by smoke.

Firefighters used one hose reel, two sets of breathing apparatus and a thermal imaging camera to put out the blaze.
