All lanes have opened following a “multi-vehicle” crash on the M40, but severe delays of more than an hour are still being reported.
Two lanes were closed on going southbound following a crash believed to involve “at least” two cars.
Emergency services were at the scene between J4 (Handy Cross) and J3 (Loudwater), with Transport for Bucks reporting delays in High Wycombe and Loudwater as a result.
Drivers are being warned of queuing traffic back to J5 (Stokenchurch) and a 90 minute delay on approach, and are being advised to allow extra time for journeys.
All lanes have now reopened on the #M40 southbound between J4 and J3 near High Wycombe following the earlier collision. Severe delays of over an hour and a half remain on approach, with traffic back to J5. Please allow extra time for your journey.
