South Bucks residents will be able to enjoy free parking in council-run car parks in the run up to Christmas.
Wycombe, Chiltern and South Bucks district councils are all waiving their parking charges once again in a bid to give businesses, visitors and shoppers a seasonal boost.
South Bucks district councillor Luisa Sullivan, portfolio holder for environment, said: “Christmas is an important time of the year for our local shops, restaurants, pubs and other businesses.
“The free parking offer has proved very successful over previous years, and I hope that it will once again encourage residents to shop more locally and continue to support businesses in our district.”
Council-run car parks will be free in High Wycombe on December 7, in Princes Risborough on December 16 and 23, in Bourne End on December 1 and in Marlow on December 2, 9 and 16.
Chiltern District Council will offer free parking in car parks in Little Chalfont, Chalfont St Giles, Chalfont St Peter, Chesham, Amersham, Great Missenden and Prestwood on selected dates between December 2 and 23, while all South Bucks District Council car parks will provide free parking on December 9 and 16.
