Drivers have been stuck in gridlocked traffic this morning following a crash involving a car and a van in Little Marlow.

South Central Ambulance Service sent paramedics to the junction of Winchbottom Lane with the A4155, Marlow Road, at 7.39am.

One person was involved in the crash - an elderly male - and paramedics assessed and treated him at the scene for chest pains resulting from the collision.

With emergency services closing off the road, drivers faced long delays in the area.

A motorist told the Bucks Free Press she had been stuck in "completely standstill" traffic for two hours while trying to get from Hazlemere to Little Marlow.

Another driver said he had been stuck in the same road in Marlow for an hour and a half.

He said: "Everyone is just sitting here and no one seems to know what is happening. The road has been blocked since about 8am - nothing is moving."

Delays have also been reported on the A404 in Marlow, down Marlow High Street and in Flackwell Heath and Bourne End.
