Bucks New University is opening its doors for a Ramblin Roots Christmas party on Thursday, December 14 with sets from two highly-regarded bands on the Americana, Country and Roots scene: Legends of Country, and Felix Holt and the Radicals.

Tickets for the night of live music are £7 in advance from Bucks Students’ Union.

The event follows on from the success of the inaugural Ramblin Roots Revue festival in April this year.

More than 1,000 music-lovers flocked to the Students’ Union’s award-winning venue on Queen Alexandra Road to enjoy more than 20 live Americana, roots and alt-country acts from the US and UK.

Jof Owen, Legend of Country’s lead singer, said: “It’ll be great to be back at the University again. The Ramblin Roots Revue was our favourite festival last year with a great local crowd showing their support for live music in High Wycombe.

“We’re looking forward to kicking off our festive celebrations in style. It’s sure to be a great night.”

The Ramblin Roots Revue festival will return from April 6 to 8 next year with ‘early bird’ tickets frozen, for a limited time only, at this year’s price of £25 for the weekend.

Tickets can be purchased at the Christmas event or online at http://bit.ly/RamblinXmas The 2018 line-up, to be announced in the new year, will feature an array of artists from the UK, Europe and US performing across three stages.

Jamie Alexander, events and licensed trade manager at Bucks Students’ Union, said: “Both bands performing next week boast excellent musicians so this will be a night of quality live music.

“Our well-stocked bar offers local artisan ales from the Marlow Brewery and Mad Squirrel, along with a selection of fine whiskies. There will also be free mince pies to get everyone in the festive spirit.”
