Another set of schools have announced closures tomorrow due to the potentially hazardous conditions as Bucks is still in the grip of the freezing weather.

Change to school hours:

  • Chesham Bois Church of England Combined School - Change to normal school opening/closing time - please see note School will be open to children from 10.00am. Please arrive by 11.00am.
  • Oakridge School - Change to normal school opening/closing time - School will open to children at 10am tomorrow to allow staff, pupils and parents to travel safely. Breakfast and After School Club will be cancelled tomorrow. Thank you for you support with this matter. Mrs Jefferson Holmer Green Infant School- School and pre-school will open at 10am on Tuesday to allow parents, children and staff adequate time to travel in safely. Breakfast Club will be closed tomorrow morning and will re-open on Wednesday. After School Club will be open on Tuesday as usual.
  • Sir William Ramsay School- We will be open on Tuesday but with a delayed start to the day. Everyone must be in school for 9.55am for the start of period two. Please see the school's website for more information.
  • Waterside Combined School- Change to normal school opening/closing time - School will be open to children from 9:00am, please arrive by 10:00am. KS1 Nativity Performances will go ahead as scheduled. Please ensure children are wrapped up warm and have appropriate footwear for a cold and wet site.
  • Cressex Community School- School will open for staff and Year 11 students at 9.00am; all other students to arrive for a 10.00am start. Care should be taken around the local area and approaching the school if road conditions are icy overnight. Parents/carers are requested not to drive onto the school site when dropping off students.
  • Disraeli School and Children's Centre- We plan to open at 10am tomorrow, unless there are any unexpected weather conditions that make it unsafe to do so. Unfortunately there will be no Breakfast Club or After School Club. All Early Years (2 year olds to FS2) please use back entrance; KS1 and KS2 please come through the main office entrance.
  • Children will not use playgrounds until further notice. Please take great care - surrounding paths and pavements, and the school site, are expected to be slippery due to further sharp frost tonight. Children can wear mufti bottoms and school top/jumper. We advise children wear wellies/boots to school and bring a spare pair of shoes/trainers to change in to once inside school (in a named carrier bag). Have a safe journey. Miss Pikulski and Mrs Gowers Spinfield School- We have taken the decision to open at 10.00 am tomorrow to ensure the safe arrival of staff and children. The weather forecast is for extremely icy conditions in the morning. Apologies for any inconvenience caused.
  • Beechview Academy- Change to normal school opening/closing time - School will open to children at 10am tomorrow to allow staff, pupils and parents to travel safely. Breakfast Club will be cancelled tomorrow. Thank you for you support with this matter. Mr Blackmore Marsh Infant and Nursery School- School will open for pupils at 10am. There is no breakfast club tomorrow. Please take great care on the icy paths.
  • Hawridge and Cholesbury Church of England School- Change to normal school opening/closing time - School will be open from 10 am tomorrow with all pupils expected by 11 am please. This is to allow extra travelling time and a later start to avoid travelling in some of the most treacherous conditions forecast for the morning. School uniform not needed. Please dress appropriately for the snowy/ icy conditions up on the ridge! NB KS1 NATIVITY IS HOPED TO BE AT 1.30 PM King’s Wood School and Nursery - Change to normal school opening. School will open at 10am. Finish normal time.
  • Aspire Pupil Referral Unit (Secondary)- Change to normal school opening/closing time - please see note The Wycombe Grange and Blueprint sites will open as normal to staff and students. Due to snow/ice on the steep slope to the site, Chiltern Skills and Enterprise Centre (CSEC) will open as normal to staff but students should arrive for a 10.45 start. Taxis will be rescheduled.
  • Chenies School- School will be open on Tuesday with delayed start (registration up to 10am). School paths have been cleared and salted.
  • Little Kingshill Combined School- Change to normal school opening/closing time - School will open to children at 10am tomorrow to allow staff, pupils and parents to travel safely.There will be no Mindfulness class tomorrow.
  • Hamilton Primary School- We plan to open our gates from 9.40 tomorrow, with registers open until 10.10 on both sites. There will be no Breakfast Club. This is to allow all to travel in safely following the predicted cold weather tonight. Mr Butler has been busy all day and cleared pathways on both sites. Please take care on your journey in. Children need to wrap up well, and can wear mufti bottoms and a school top. Our Year 1 performance will now start at 10.30 am. The Reception afternoon performance and the Year 2 evening performance will go ahead as planned. Sorry, but it is very unlikely that we will be able to offer parking on site for any of the performances.
  • Holmer Green Senior School- Change to normal school opening/closing time - please see note Students should arrive at 10.15am for a 10.20am start. Usual end of school day is planned Heritage House School- Unless weather conditions change overnight the school will reopen at 10.30am for pupils. Please check with your child’s transport for individual arrangements. Thank you for your understanding Brushwood Junior School- There will be no Breakfast club on Tuesday. School will be open at 9.00am for all pupils but registers will be open until 9.30am. Please do not arrive before 8.50am. Children will go straight to classrooms. The Y3&4 production will go ahead but may have a slightly delayed start time as we wait for children to arrive. Children will only be allowed outside if they have appropriate footwear and spare socks. Wellingtons would be best as the snow is still quite deep. - please take care the roads surrounding the school are still extremely slippy. Mrs Robertson Chalfont St Giles Junior School - Gates will open at 9.30- children must go straight to classrooms. Registration will be between 9.30 and 10.00. Paths have been cleared but will be icey. Please wear appropriate footwear. If we have outdoor playtimes only children with appropriate footwear and outdoor clothing will be allowed outside.

  • The Mandeville School - We will have a later start to the day on Tuesday 12th December given the icy conditions first thing in the morning. We invite students onto site for the beginning of their 10.20 break time. Lessons will resume period 3. We request that students are dressed for icy and cold conditions with non-slippery footwear, coats, scarves and hats as appropriate. Otherwise, full uniform should be worn.
  • Chiltern Hills Academy - The school will be open with a late start planned. Registration will be at 10:15am. On arrival students are to wait in the Atrium/the hall or 0C1/0C2, they should not be outside. Students should be in normal uniform but can wear boots or sensible footwear suitable for the conditions. certain areas are out of bounds and students must be inside at lunchtime.   • St Mary's Church of England Primary School (Amersham) - Change to normal school opening/closing time - Due to the icy conditions and in order for the staff and children to arrive at school safely we will not be opening until 10.00am. There will therefore be no Breakfast Club or Judo.
  • Hazlemere Church of England Combined School - No Breakfast club tomorrow (12th) and a staggered start from 8.40am to 10am. Please take extra care when traveling and walking into school as the paths are very slippery. Only travel if it is safe to do so.
  • Hyde Heath Community Pre-School - OPENING AT 10.30AM DUE TO WEATHER CONDITIONS- allowing children, parents and staff to travel safely.
  • Hannah Ball School - The school will open at 10am tomorrow to allow staff & pupils to get to school safely. There is a clear path from the school gate to the front office - please use this and not the playground. Please wear appropriate footwear and clothing to travel to and from school and take care on the icy roads and paths, especially going up to the school.
  • East Claydon - Due to the slush rapidly turning to ice in the village, we have taken the decision to open the school later tomorrow. This will give families and staff more time to get to us and allow people to leave later, once the ice has thawed a bit. School will be open to all children in both the pre-school and main school from 10:15am tomorrow morning. If you need to leave it a bit later to ensure your safety, please do so and we look forward to seeing you when you get here. Once again, our apologies for any inconvenience caused.
  • The Mary Towerton School at Studley Green - Change to normal school opening/closing time - please see note the school will open from 10.00am.
  • George Grenville Academy - School is open tomorrow but there will be an open registration until 10.00am to allow parents and children to get to school safely. Please take extra care when travelling as although the roads, pathways and playground have been partially cleared and gritted, it will still be extremely icy. Children can come in their own suitable footwear (preferably wellington boots) and will need to bring a change of indoor footwear in a plastic bag.) All pupils will be able to access their classrooms through their usual classroom doors from 8:30 when the main gate opens. We are planning to close the school at 3.05pm which will mean that we will be unable to offer any extended care tomorrow. This is due to freezing temperatures being forecast all day and we wish to get all staff and children safely home before dark. Sorry for any inconvenience this will cause.
  • Princes Risborough Day Nursery - Change to normal school opening/closing time - please see note Update - This is to confirm that we are going to attempt to open tomorrow morning but with slightly reduced hours 9.00- 5.00. Please be mindful that all senior members of staff do not live in Princes Risborough and therefore we will be unsure as to how icy the roads will be until the morning. The main roads at the moment are fine but the side roads have not been treated. The weather forecast for this evening is showing -8 and a decision may still be made in the morning to shut. Please do not drive into our car park as it has not been treated and will be icy, where possible I would suggest parking opposite or in Tesco's. The pathway through the gardens have been treated but again please take care. If staff are delayed in the morning then you may be asked to wait with your child until we have the correct ratio's.   • Ivingswood Academy - Change to normal school opening/closing time - please see note School will be open from 9.15 tomorrow with lessons beginning at 9.30 a.m. owing to the forecast of ice, following yesterday’s snow. Pupils should enter via the Drama Room door and be suitably dressed for the weather. Please take care and bear in mind the works on Greenway.   • Cadmore End Church of England School - Change to normal school opening/closing time - please see note The car-park and playground are likely to be very icy and as we do not have a caretaker to treat these areas, we will start slightly later. Some staff will also experience problems as they are 'snowed in'. Please arrive from 9.30am to 10am. No breakfast club. Sorry for the inconvenience.
  • Holmer Green Junior School - School will open with a staggered start from 9.30am to 10.00am tomorrow. Please note, the school car park is inaccessible.
  • Chartridge Combined School - Children should arrive between 10am and 11am please to allow staff time to get in safely too. If it is unavoidable that children need to arrive earlier, there will be a limited staff number to cover. If you need Breakfast Club, please email headteacher directly. Thank you.
  • Lee Common Church of England School - After much consideration we have decided to open Lee Common CE School for afternoon school only tomorrow. Children should arrive between 12:50 and 1:00 pm in the afternoon and be collected, as usual at 3pm. There will be no other activities tomorrow. Swimming, sports coaching and all after school clubs have been cancelled.
  • Chalfont St Peter Infant School - Change to normal school opening/closing time - please see note: Please refer to School website for opening times.
  • Foxes Piece School - We will be opening for pupils at 10.00am to allow everyone to travel to school safely.
  • Elmtree Infant School and Nursery - Elmtree Infant & Nursery School will re-open tomorrow Tuesday, 12th December with a relaxed start to allow both staff and pupils to take their time getting into school. We are asking that all pupils arrive in school between 10am and 11am. Thank you.
  • St Michael's Catholic School - Change to normal school opening/closing time - please see note: Dear Parents, due to the condition of the roads and the overnight temperatures, we will open the school late at 10am to pupils in all phases. This will ensure that the site is safe to use. I am also concerned about the routes to school as current reports are that footpaths around Wycombe are very icy. We have gritted the site and Estate Management will be on site from 7am to clear some areas and also to lay fresh grit to areas that may have frozen overnight.   • Dr Challoner's Grammar School (Boys) - As a result of the adverse weather conditions we are altering our usual patterns tomorrow. School will be open, but with a later start to allow staff and students more travel time. Most of the bus companies are looking to run 45 minutes later than normal. Registration will be at 0930. Lessons will run as normal starting with Period 2.
  • Princes Risborough Primary - We have made the decision to delay opening tomorrow until 10am. There will be no Breakfast Club. Please enter the school through the main entrance.
