The sister of chef Heston Blumenthal slammed her mother’s head against a car in a rage as part of a four-year campaign of violence a court heard.

Alexis Blumenthal, of Park Street, Thame, had admitted assaulting her mother Celia on East Street, Thame, on October 7 and was set for trial on another count of assault at Aston Park, Watlington, on September 9.

At Oxford Magistrates’ Court today the 48-year old sister of former Marlow resident Heston admitted carrying out both attacks.

On the first incident at a house in Watlington Blumenthal lashed out at her mother having drank alcohol earlier that day.

She grabbed the 76-year old by her hair and punched her a number of times before pushing her at the top of a flight of stairs forcing her to cling to the bannister.

The next incident saw Blumenthal ‘slam’ her mothers head repeatedly against a car on a street in Thame.

In a victim statement Celia said that her daughter had carried out a campaign of ‘verbal and violent abuse’ over the last four years largely due to her alcoholism.

Blumenthal will be sentenced at the same court on January 11.

Her brother Heston used to live in Marlow and went to John Hampden Grammar School in High Wycombe.
