TV’s Sandra Martin has been forced to pull out of Maidenhead pantomime Aladdin due to “heath issues”.

Producers announced this week that the Gogglebox star would no longer be playing the Spirit of the Ring in the pantomime, which kicked off at Magnet Leisure Centre on Saturday.

Her replacement is yet to be announced.

Eddie Dredge, director of Q Productions, said: “We are sorry to share the news that Sandra will no longer be able to play her role in Aladdin, and we wish her all the best.

“We apologise to panto-goers for any disappointment this may cause but can offer assurance they will still have a magical and wonderfully entertaining time and that the running of the production will not be affected.”

According to national reports, the star hit out at claims she was sacked from the pantomime after allegedly appearing drunk before a performance, reportedly saying in a video that she had suffered a panic attack and had decided to leave to focus on her health.

The pantomime is running until December 31 at the newly relaunched Pearce Suite Theatre.
