The Amersham & Chesham Lions Club, with the assistance of the Rotary Clubs of Amersham and Chesham undertook the annual collection and distribution of food to the lonely and needy in the area around the weekend of December 9.
Three hundred and twenty six individual bags and 23 family boxes were packed and delivered, together with 11 plants and boxes of chocolates for those not needy but still lonely.
Ernest Newhouse, from the Lions, heaped praise on those who have given them a hand ahead of the festive period. He said: "The clubs are grateful to the people of Amersham and Chesham and the Food Bank for their generous support."
