More than 100 new homes could be built in Tylers Green after Wycombe District Council submitted plans for a new estate on a former reserve site.
The council - which owns Ashwells field, off Cock Lane - has put forward proposals for up to 102 homes on the site, along with a new road into the site and public space.
Ashwells was one of five reserve sites - along with Abbey Barn South, Abbey Barn North, Terriers Farm, Slate Meadow - to have been released for development in a controversial move by WDC in 2014.
The new plans "reflect Bucks County Council Highways' requirement" to widen Cock Lane, a statement from the council said.
The statement added: "WDC’s design seeks to do this as sensitively as possible, restoring the hedge line, greening the visibility splay and improving footpath connectivity. The proposals also include local off-site road improvements.
"The aim is for the council to complete the infrastructure and dispose of serviced sites to housebuilders and some serviced plots to self-builders, with an onus upon good quality design, materials and public realm.
"The council is looking at ways to include some starter homes/shared equity houses for first-time buyers with local connections."
