A south Bucks grammar school has been named of the top 20 state schools in the country in a luxury lifestyle magazine.
Chesham Grammar School is the only Bucks school to be featured in Tatler’s state schools guide 2018.
The schools, described as the “cream of the country’s crop” include several from London, two from Surrey and one each from Hampshire, Berkshire and Hertfordshire.
Chesham Grammar, which celebrated its 70th birthday last year with baking queen Mary Berry opening the school’s new food technology room, has reportedly been praised by a top London prep school head, who branded head teacher Annmarie McNaney as “extremely impressive”.
Mrs McNaney said: “We are flattered that Chesham Grammar School has been included in Tatler’s 'Good State Schools Guide 2018'.
“I am very proud of our staff and students who make this such an excellent school and it is always pleasing for this to be recognised.”
