Last week, the mayor of High Wycombe said he was “disappointed” that Costco would no longer be opening its highly-anticipated warehouse in the town.
The Bucks Free Press revealed earlier this month that the wholesale chain had decided against opening a new store at Cressex Island in Crest Road, despite backing from Wycombe District Council.
Following the revelation, town mayor Cllr Brian Pearce said it was a “great shame” that the store would not be opening, adding that he would like to see a big store like Dunelm move there.
A number of Free Press readers have been suggesting alternatives for the site, with BFP staff getting involved too.
The site may not be big enough for some of the ideas but we want to know what you would like to ideally see there.
