One of the longest established estate agents in South Bucks invited local residents and business owners to the equivalent of a house warming on Monday evening.

The event was to celebrate not just the new year but the completion of a wide scale refurbishment of JNP’s village branch at Hazlemere Crossroads.

The revamp has provided the opportunity for the agents to bring together two parts of the business under one roof.

Previously the Fine & Country arm of JNP serving the country house market in the outlying villages around Hazlemere worked separately from the village branch of the main agency. They were based in neighbouring offices.

Julian Almrott, group managing director of sales, is confident the new arrangement will work to everyone’s best interests.

He told guests who came to toast the success of the united enterprise: “This has been something we have been working towards for a long time now.

“We have always wanted the complete team in one office.

“Most clients didn’t even know we were part of the same company.

“In the new combined showroom we can offer all manner of properties at both ends of the price scale. We can cover a larger area, we have an enlarged team with experience at both ends of the market, we have the latest technology, it’s really exciting.”

One of the properties on the books of the Fine & Country division this week is the recently remodelled and refurbished 1950s five bedroom four bathroom house in Coleshill Lane, Winchmore Hill (pictured).

The rooms are spread over three levels. On the ground floor is the 38ft open plan kitchen/dining/family room with bifold and French doors onto the garden, separate sitting room, cloakroom and door through the garage which includes a utility area.

Upstairs on the first floor are four bedrooms and three bathrooms including the master suite with dressing room and also a guest suite and at the top of the house is a further bedroom and shower room.

It’s like a plush show home. Price £1.15m.
