Firefighters raced to a frozen lake to rescue two stranded dogs yesterday afternoon.
The cold and wet dogs had got stuck on a frozen lake in Oxford Road, Gerrards Cross, at around 3.15pm on Sunday.
When fire crews from Gerrards Cross and Slough arrived at the scene, the dogs - one black and one golden - had managed to get off the lake just minutes before and were being looked after.
Firefighters took to social media to remind pet owners to keep collars on their dogs.
Sent to reports of dogs stuck on a frozen a lake this afternoon. Although cold and wet they got themselves out just before we arrived. PLEASE keep collars on your pets so we can make contact and return them safe @Bucksfire @SloughFS #animal #rescue #dog #puppy pic.twitter.com/aZEnMBTF8M
