A man who admitted to killing a Marlow Bottom pensioner in her woodland home before setting her body alight could finally be handed his fate next month.

Tautrydas Narbutas could be sentenced on April 27 – months after he admitted to killing Albertina Choules in her woodland home in Ragmans Lane.

Narbutas, who is from Lithuania but lives in High Wycombe, was convicted of manslaughter on the grounds of diminished responsibility after denying murdering the 81-year-old, and was originally due to be sentenced at Reading Crown Court on October 8.

But the sentencing was repeatedly postponed as the court waited for some psychiatric reports to come through.

A spokesman confirmed today (Monday) that a mention hearing is expected to take place on April 3 and the court wants the final sentencing to take place on April 27.

The Italy-born pensioner’s charred body was discovered in her garden at around 6.30am on July 6, 2016, after she called emergency services for help, after discovering an intruder in her home.
