A Metropolitan Police officer from Amersham, who crawled the London Marathon in a gorilla costume to raise money for charity, is donning his costume once again as he ‘handcycles’ from Lands End to John O’ Groats.
Tom ‘Mr Gorilla’ Harrison raised more than £40,000 for The Gorilla Organisation, after taking on the gruelling task in April last year.
Now, he is back in action as he makes his way across the country by handcycling in a bid to raise as much money as possible for the charity once again.
The money will support projects in Rwanda, Uganda and the Congo, which help protect mountain Gorillas and their precious habitat.
Since setting off on the three-wheeled contraption on Good Friday, the father-of-two has managed to cycle to Alnwick in Northumberland and has raised £1,787 so far.
He has been aiming to cover 50 miles a day.
