A pop-up craft shop in Marlow is on the hunt for the area’s unsung heroes.

Craft Coop, based in Institute Road, wants to give back to deserving members of the community and uncover hidden heroes in a range of categories including best neighbour, best boss and most giving volunteer, around the town.

Co-director Deborah Jones said it would give the community the chance to give something back to people who are “quietly doing great things”.

She said: “Although what they do is appreciated, sometimes it would be nice to shout about the amazing work they do, and to give them a little more than just a pat on the back.

“As a community social enterprise, Craft Coop is in a unique position of being able to do this.”

The shop started its quest this month to find the best teacher or coach, and is now looking for “inspirational” members of the community in Marlow and Maidenhead with the help of the public.

Nomination forms are available in Craft Coop shops in Institute Road and the Nicholsons Centre in Maidenhead, as well as online at www.craftcoop.co.uk/craft-coop-hidden-heroes, and must be submitted by April 30.
