Nursing students at Bucks New University are set to hold an information day to increase awareness around the importance of mental health.

‘Mental health across the Lifespan’ takes place at the university’s campus in Queen Alexandra Road, High Wycombe, from 10am to 4pm on Wednesday, April 25.

It will feature yoga, dance, massage and art and information stalls from organisations including Dementia UK, Wycombe Mind, Alzheimer’s Society and Time To Change.

A succession of speakers will also be talking about nutrition, post-traumatic stress disorder, and postnatal depression; and the event will see the screening of a film on schizoaffective disorder.

Student Nancy Stafford said: “We are very much looking forward to the day, attempting to remove the stigma associated with mental health.”

Anyone wishing to attend is welcome to turn up on the day with no need to register.
