A care home in High Wycombe will be adorned with Union Jack bunting as it plays host to “a right royal knees up” to mark the upcoming royal wedding.
On Saturday, May 19, from 2pm to 6pm, Care UK’s Catherine Court on Cressex Road is inviting the community to raise a glass to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
The home will be emblazoned with Union Jack bunting, and residents will have their British flags at the ready for a live screening of the wedding.
There will be afternoon tea during the afternoon, as well as live entertainment from 5pm.
Yvonne Keating, home manager at Catherine Court, said: “We were all so excited when we heard there was to be another royal wedding, and knew we had to do something to celebrate.
“Here at Catherine Court, many of the residents have fond memories of the royal family and the many weddings and celebrations over the years, so this is a brilliant opportunity to reminisce and share stories from the past.
“We’re looking forward to welcoming the people of High Wycombe to the home and to toasting the happy couple for what promises to be a wonderful day of celebrations.”
