Stars of the silver screen joined Stormtroopers and superheroes in High Wycombe on Saturday as the popular Comicon came to town.

Film and television fans dressed up as their favourite characters and turned out in their droves to the annual convention at the Old Town Hall.

The day provided movie buffs with a chance to meet their favourite stars, including Clem So, Andrew Lee Potts and Michael Henbury.

Clem So has been in films like Ready Player One, Dr Strange, Spectre and Exodus to Shanghai.

Andrew Lee Potts is perhaps best known for appearing in Primevil and Band of Brothers, while Michael Henbury starred as an Ewok in Star Wars and a Gringotts Goblin in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 2.

They were also joined by Skyfall and Guardians of the Galaxy star Sandeep Mohan, Miltos Yerolemou and Paul Blake.

The stars signed autographs and posed for photos with their fans.

Meanwhile, a replica of the Iron Throne from Game of Thrones gave visitors a chance to experience life as the King or Queen of the Andals and the First Men.

The UK R2D2 Club, Angel Effects - bringing with them Marvel cos players and Iron Man suits - and the famous Joker Squad were also on hand to answer questions and pose for photographs.

A cos play masquerade - featuring professionals and fans in their impressive outfits - also took place at Butlers in Frogmoor at the end of the day.

Clem So took to Twitter to thanks those who visited the convention, saying: "Really enjoyed my time at Wycombe Film & TV Con yesterday with a fabulous crew running the event.

"Thank you for inviting me and thanks to all the people who came to see me."

On the Wycombe Film and TV Convention Facebook page, the event organisers said it was an "amazing" day.

They said: "Thank you to everyone who was able to attend today! You made it such a great day.

"A huge thank you to our amazing guest panel, and of course our fantastic traders and props who came down and made the event what it was. A great first convention."
