The devastated family of a “beautiful” High Wycombe woman will finally be able to lay her to rest tomorrow – more than two months after she was “stabbed to death”.

Samantha Clarke, 38, was found dead at an address in Brixton on April 15 – days after celebrating her son’s 14th birthday.

Her heartbroken parents say her funeral, at St Andrew’s Church in Hatters Lane on Friday, will be “positive” celebration of her life.

Following a service at 12pm, Samantha will be laid to rest in High Wycombe Cemetery before a memorial at Magnolia Park.

Speaking to the Bucks Free Press, her distraught father, Wilmoth Bullock, described his daughter as a kind and caring woman who was “devoted” to her family.

Samantha, who grew up and went to church in High Wycombe, was said to be planning to move from Brixton back to her hometown with her husband Paul and her son after starting a new job at the Red Lion Hotel in Henley in March.

Mr Bullock said: “We were always such a close-knit family, this has been devastating for us – especially for her son and her younger siblings. Although she lived in London she spent a lot of time here in High Wycombe with us.

“It is hard to describe the soul-crushing trauma we have been through but everyone in the community has been so supportive. We want her funeral to be a positive thing, a celebration of Samantha.”

Tributes poured in for Samantha, who mostly worked in hospitality at hotels across London, but also spent six years at Dun and Bradstreet, following her death.

In a tribute piece on a memorial website to Samantha, her relatives said she was “devoted” to her family, adding: “She lived for her son and wanted only the best for him.

“Through all the challenges that life threw at her, Samantha was a fighter and though struggling at times, rose up, dusted herself off and grew stronger.”

Her funeral is expected to start at 12pm and anyone who wishes to pay tribute to Samantha is welcome to attend.

The service will feature tributes from devastated family and friends, poems and songs.

The Bullock family also expressed their “heartfelt gratitude and thanks” for the support, prayers, words of comfort and encouragement since Samantha sadly passed away.
