Hundreds of runners donned their trainers and braved the scorching sun to raise money for good causes at the Wycombe Half Marathon at the weekend.

The annual half marathon, 10k and children's fun run races kicked off at Adams Park on Sunday morning and took runners on a gruelling but picturesque route through the West Wycombe Estate and into the Chilterns.

After the challenging race, which ended back at the football ground, competitors were awarded a medal and goodie bag for their efforts.

James Silvey stormed to victory in the half marathon with a time of 01:24:06, while the first female across the line was Faye Cripps with a time of 1:36:57.

Thomas Dell took the top spot in the 10k, completing the route in 37 minutes and 54 seconds, and Gemma Buley was the first female to finish, in 46 minutes and 24 seconds.

The half marathon saw 281 runners take part, while 253 finished in the 10k.

The fun run winners were Daniel Sawyer and Chloe Fossel.
