Three popular parks in the Wycombe district have been recognised as some of the best green spaces in the UK.
The Rye, in High Wycombe, and Higginson Park, in Marlow, were given the coveted Green Flag awards for the year ahead, while Hughenden Park is due a "mystery shop" later this year.
They are among a record-breaking 1,883 parks across the UK receiving the award.
The international award, now in its third decade, tells the public that the space boasts the highest possible environmental standards, is well maintained and has excellent visitor facilities.
Cllr Graham Peart, Wycombe District Council’s cabinet member for community, said: “We are absolutely delighted to receive these Green Flag Awards once again.
“We know how much quality green spaces matter to residents and visitors, and these awards celebrate the dedication that goes into maintaining our parks to such a high standard.
“These three are our biggest stars. But we also have many popular smaller parks and open spaces throughout the district that we care for and improve to meet the needs of local residents.”
