Generous Marlovians have helped to raise more than £373,000 for good causes.

WH Smith, in the High Street, announced it had raised £373,311 for charity as a result of sales of national lottery tickets from its store.

It also unveiled a new look, with an “enticing” redesign and open-plan layout.

Rachel Russell, commercial director for WH Smith, said: “Raising money for good causes is integral to our business and we’re so delighted to have achieved such a huge amount in Marlow.

“A huge thank you to our customers for their support.

“This great news comes alongside a very exciting time for our team in Marlow, as we unveil our new-look store.

“I am exceptionally proud of what has been achieved and hope that our customers are enjoying their new shopping experience.”

And Chris Dixon, Marlow’s store manager, commented: “All of the team here in Marlow are absolutely delighted with the new store look.

Customer feedback has been really positive with customers commenting in particular on the bright, airy feel of the store and the positive atmosphere – there’s a great buzz.”
