The highlight of Beaconsfield’s social calendar is set to return this Bank Holiday Monday.

The country fayre is set to draw in thousands of people for the 12th year on August 27.

Arguably the highlight of the fayre, the popular stretcher race, which sees dozens of teams race round on a tour of pubs while carrying one team member on a stretcher, will take place at 2pm.

And for the budding athletes there is the children’s stretcher race where teams of four carry a teddy bear patient along a short course down Windsor End.

Meanwhile there will also be a dog show, climbing wall, inflatable slide, petting zoom balloon race and craft stalls to keep families entertained from 10am.
