UPDATE: Missing teenage girl is found

Police have released a new photo of a missing Chesham teenager as they become "very concerned" for her welfare.

Phoebe Taylor was last seen by her family on August 27 in Village Road, Whelpley Hill.

The 17-year-old may have travelled to London with friends. She was last spoken to in the Tottenham Court Road area two days later on August 29.

There has not been any contact with Phoebe since and police are growing increasingly concerned.

Phoebe is 5ft 5ins tall with red hair, and when she was last seen, she was wearing long colourful trousers with flowers and a white top. She also had a suitcase with her.

Whilst Phoebe was last believed to have travelled to London, she does have connections to Welwyn Garden City, Brighton, Chelmsford and Portsmouth, and may have travelled elsewhere in the UK.

Investigating officer, Detective Inspector Mike Anderson, said: “We are very concerned for Phoebe’s welfare. No contact has been made with her since 29 August, so it is extremely important that anyone with any information, no matter how insignificant it may seem, gets in touch with us.

“As part of this renewed appeal, we are issuing a new photo of Phoebe. Please share this picture and our appeal on social media, as it could be vital in helping us to locate Phoebe.

“Phoebe, if you see this appeal, please get in touch. We need to know that you are safe.”

Anyone with any information is asked to call the Thames Valley Police non-emergency number on 101.
